In our first lesson on our AS Media Coursework we got into our groups and decided on the genre we were going to focus on. Im in a group with Sophie Dockerty and Oliver Shellard and we decided to do the genre of Romantic Comedy.
In our first lesson we produced a mindmap of codes and conventions of a romantic comedy, including Mise en scene, existing films, typical characters, typical settings and themes. We then produced a draft of a questionnaire to find out who are target audience is, and what they look for in a romantic comedy. This will then help us to find out who are target audience is and what needs to be included.
